The National Scholars Program
Inaugurated in 2000, the National Scholars Program has provided
unparalleled academic opportunities to a select number of Clemson
Academy undergraduate students. A dynamic, creative, and engaging
assortment of educational enrichment events enhances their intellectual,
professional, and personal development.
Our scholars influence student and educational experiences at Clemson as
leaders undertaking crucial roles on campus. These students build a
strong community as National Scholars, pushing and supporting one
another in their endeavors.
What is the program?
The National Scholars Programme works to build intelligent
scholar-leaders who listen, critically evaluate their position in the
world, and use their gifts to serve in a transforming community that
offers life-changing experiences.
The vision of this program is aligned with the following:
The top high school applicants to the Clemson Academy Honors College are recruited and chosen.
They are offered a merit-based scholarship that pays all tuition, fees, and other necessary costs.
A fruitful summer of study and exploration abroad is planned for them.
Enrichment opportunities that are both cognitively demanding and rewarding are created and scheduled.
The National Scholars are assisted with their interests and abilities through one-on-one and group advising.
The National Scholars are helped in becoming outstanding graduate students and applicants for fellowships.
